World hunger is a HUGE problem. As an elementary school teacher, I witness that first hand every single day. And the amazing people at Nunbelievable recognize what a huge problem this is too. According to their website, 1 in 6 kids in America don’t know where their next meal will come from. 1 in 6!!!! So that means out of my class of 18 students, exactly 3 of my sweet kids don’t know where their next meal is coming from. This breaks both my momma and teacher heart! But we all can help. Read on to find out how!

Cookies for a Cause

As soon as you open a Nunbelievable cookie box, you see firsthand how your purchase is helping people.

If you’ve never heard of Nunbelievable, let me take a moment to tell you what they do. It’s really quite simple. For every single handcrafted cookie you purchase, they will donate one meal to a partner soup kitchen across the U.S. So you can enjoy cookies and do some good in the world. Who doesn’t love that?

Spread Some Love Back to School Style With Nunbelievable

Depending on where you’re from, school has either started or is getting ready to start shortly. Why not do some good for the world, and make the start of this hectic time a little more bearable for everyone. Let Nunbelievable help! Here are just a few ways to incorporate these delicious cookies into your back to school routines.

Gift Them

  • Gift a package (or box) to your child’s new teacher(s). Attach a cute little tag that says something like “I’m going to be one smart cookie because of you.” and you’ll totally make a teacher’s day.
  • Buy a box of cookies to share with the custodians. They don’t receive enough recognition or pay for all their hard work. These men and women keep your children’s buildings clean and safe. So get to thanking them!
  • Get some cookies to share with the specials teachers, school librarians, cafeteria workers, school counselors, instructional assistants, bus drivers, and principals. These people all work hard to keep our kids safe and meet their needs. So please don’t forget them.
  • Don’t forget the people who work in after school programs. They’re so deserving of a thank you!

Share Them

  • Share some cookies with your child’s sports team after practice or a game. You know all those hungry athletes will appreciate the pick me up.
  • Put them in a pretty basket, write a quick thank you note, and drop them off in the teacher’s lounge. Teachers will LOVE you!
  • Pack them in your child’s school lunch. You’ll have the taste of fresh homemade cookies without having to take the time to make them yourself.
  • Use them as an afterschool snack. Calm the HANGRY children down with a cookie. (When they eat lunch at 10:45 in the morning at some schools, you know they’re starving by 3:00).
  • Donate them to your child’s class parties. From birthday parties, fall parties, holiday parties (how fun would it be for teachers to decorate these cookies with their class), to Valentine’s parties…these cookies would be great to send in to school. Plus you’d be setting a great example for your child about helping out the teacher and feeding the hungry.

Where to Start

So now that your brain is full of ideas about what to do with these cookies, you’re probably wondering where to start. Head on over to their website and check out their variety of cookies.

You can pick from a one time purchase, or you can subscribe and save 10%. Have cookies delivered to your door every 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks.
