If you read last week’s post, then you know I suggested some movies to watch before visiting Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Did you also know there are movies to watch before visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios? In case you have no idea where to start, I’ve put together another list to help you out. So read on to discover what movies you need to watch.
Sunset Boulevard
As you first walk into Hollywood Studios, you’ll take a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard. However, if you turn right, you’ll be on Sunset Boulevard. There are two very popular rides at the end of the road. First, you’ll find The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. To truly appreciate this ride, you need to be familiar with The Twilight Zone series.
When we visited Hollywood Studios, my then 9 year old really didn’t understand the ride since he’d never seen the series. Since I’d grown up watching reruns, I really appreciated all the extras in the ride.
Second, you’ll find Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. On this ride, you’ll zoom down the freeways of Los Angeles to classic Aerosmith songs. So while this ride isn’t based on a movie, it might help to be familiar with popular Aerosmith songs.
Toy Story Land
This is super obvious. If you’re going to enjoy this land, then you MUST watch the Toy Story movies. There are a total of four movies in the series. They are Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, and Toy Story 4.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
Here is another area where the movies to watch seems super obvious. If you’re a Star Wars fan, then you NEED to watch the movies to truly appreciate these rides. Here’s a list of all the Star Wars movies:
- Star Wars: Episode I-The Phantom Menace
- Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars
- Solo: A Star Wars Story
- Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith
